- Moonlight Basin
On Moonlight Basin, we leaned toward Homasote primarily for its acoustic performance. We received some alternative floor assemblies to meet the acoustical requirements, and the acoustical consultant provided the options below. This was on the shoulder of COVID, and plywood was either unavailable or super expensive.
We gave the contractor the options to price, and the rest is history.
Objectives:
- Maintain STC / IIC and reduce the amount of plywood;
- Change particleboard to OSB or Plywood due to constructability issues;
- Replace mineral wool w/ fiberglass
