Homasote announces an STC 55 wall;
considered “Excellent” Sound Control in a single wall, with
it’s 440 SoundBarrier on only 1-side of the wall. A wall with an STC 55
will reduce the transmission of Sound through a wall by roughly 25% (a
difference in STC of 10 is twice (or half) as loud. Requires access to only one
side of the wall to achieve “Excellent” Sound Control in Renovation
work.
